I will turn 60 this year.

I have answered to several names over the years. Most notably, Dink, Dad, Katie’s Dad, Mr. West and most recently Papa.

I’ve been doing “accounting stuff” for a long time.

My hobbies include golf, watching golf, and talking about golf. I also follow college sports and occasionally watch MLB with my dad. You may also catch me at the gym or out riding my bicycle around town.

I have 4 grandkids with another to arrive in mid-2026.

A Brief History of Darrell West (That’s Me)

• 2026 Began MBA program at LSU Shreveport.
• 2025 Moved to Hattiesburg, MS.
• 2020 Became a Papa.
• 2000-2020 Lots of life, work and raising a family.
• 1999 Welcomed our third and final child to the family.
• 1995 Moved back to Mobile, AL (unhappy with Georgia and job).
• 1995 Moved to Newnan, GA (suburb of the Greater Atlanta, GA area).
• 1994 Welcomed our second child to the family.
• 1991 Welcomed our first child to the family.
• 1988 Married my high school sweetheart.
• 1988 My accounting career began with Ernst & Whinney (now EY).
• 1987 College Graduation University of South Alabama, Mobile, AL.
• 1984 High School Graduation Mary G. Montgomery High School, Semmes, AL.
